WHAT IS OBJECT ORIENTED MANAGEMENT®?
Object Oriented Management® (aka GOOM® – Gestion Objet Orientée/Object Oriented Management) is a new, intuitive way of managing projects.
Unlike other project management models, GOOM® breaks projects down into objects rather than tasks, and then organizes them in a tree structure based on their relationship with other objects in the project.
WHAT IS AN OBJECT?
Objects can be anything – requirements, tasks, meetings, documents, bugs, etc – and can be centralized in one tool, resulting in better communication and less information scattering. Centralizing information allows users to manage, monitor and report on their project in real-time.
WHAT IS AN AGENT?
Every object has 3 types of agents: manager, expert(s) and client. Each agent has specific responsibilities, enforcing proper delegation. Together, the agents define the interface of the project objects. Work is then organized by the manager into work cycles and goes through rapid iterations until total quality is achieved.
Object Oriented Management® can be applied to any project, department or function that requires management.
